I study how public systems meet people's everyday lives, as a Master's student at the School of International and Public Affairs, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, after four years of Public Administration at Sun Yat-sen University.
My work sits where research meets product. At Mintel I run new-product intelligence for a Nestlé dairy engagement. At Career International I turned 100+ first-hand interviews into structured talent reports. At China Media Group I made content that was watched more than 100,000 times.
And I build. Over the past year I interviewed people from more than 30 countries about settling into China, then designed, coded and launched a platform for them: one person, end to end, from user research to live paid service.
The fragmented, high-friction process of settling into China, turned into one trusted, guided system: daily-life guides, a step-by-step healthcare walkthrough, a language exchange, a crowdsourced heads-up board, and a paid ask-a-local desk.
A year of field observation and in-depth interviews with people from 30+ countries defined the product: built around the user's journey, not feature columns.
Everything shipped by one person: information architecture, UX and UI, a responsive front end in plain HTML, CSS and JS, with self-hosted fonts so it loads inside China.
A freemium model, free public knowledge feeding a paid one-to-one desk, with a B2C-to-B2B path toward universities and employers, sized (TAM, SAM, SOM) and written into a full business plan.
New-product intelligence for Nestlé dairy across street drinks and bakery. Built a standardized ingredient-coding system with multi-dimensional tags that keeps data consistent and traceable across the team, and delivered 4 monthly and 2 quarterly trend reports spanning drinks, bread, pastry and cake categories.
Conducted 100+ first-hand phone interviews and independently turned them into 10+ structured talent reports, building a reusable annotation and classification framework for mapping how leading multinationals organize, while running full-cycle candidate sourcing and screening.
Planned and reviewed multimedia content, produced a promotional video with 100,000+ plays on CMG's Yangshipin platform, handled bilingual interview transcription and translation, and wrote posts with 6,000+ reads for the Voice of the Greater Bay Area account.
School of International and Public Affairs. First-class freshman academic scholarship.
School of Government. GPA 3.7/4.0, outstanding student scholarship and academic progress award.
Ran three cohorts totaling 312 international students and faculty end to end: academic lectures, corporate field visits and cultural events, plus all-English interviews, press releases and video, including TikTok footage with 89,000+ plays.
Organized 18 systematic training sessions and staged a campus-level tournament, sharpening logical argument, team leadership and public speaking.
Mandarin (native). English: IELTS 7.5 with a perfect 9.0 in Reading, CET-6 612. Fluent spoken English, comfortable with bilingual research and reporting.
Excel (pivot tables, functions, charts) and PowerPoint. Stata, R (ggplot2, network graphs), Mplus and SPSS for cleaning, modeling and visualization. Claude and Gemini woven into daily research workflows, with hands-on prompt engineering.
In-depth interviews, large-scale text coding, case annotation and attribution analysis, and mixed qualitative-quantitative research design.
For roles, collaborations, or anything about research, product, and building for internationals in China. I read everything.
